Protecting children. Pursuing justice. Restoring lives.

Every child deserves to grow up safe, free and protected from exploitation, violence and abuse.

Who we are

Streams of Joy Services is a Uganda-based non-profit organisation committed to protecting children and vulnerable families from some of the most serious forms of violence and exploitation — human trafficking, ritual abuse and human sacrifice, and aggravated sexual abuse and exploitation of children.

Our Vision

A holistic and transformed life for every last child — a Uganda where children are protected from trafficking, ritual abuse, human sacrifice and sexual exploitation, and where survivors receive the support, dignity and justice they deserve.

Our Mission

To rescue, protect and support the investigation of cases involving human trafficking, ritual abuse and human sacrifice, and aggravated sexual abuse and exploitation of children — turning rescue into recovery, investigation into justice and protection into lasting change.

Why it matters

A child should never have to live in fear.

Children in Uganda are trafficked, sexually exploited, and subjected to ritual abuse and human sacrifice. Rescue without safety, care, and justice leaves them open to the same harm again.

Rescuing a child is only the beginning. We work with communities and law enforcement so survivors are not forgotten once an immediate rescue has taken place.

What we do

Six ways we stand between a child and harm.

From the moment a child is in danger to the day they are safely home, our work follows the child — through rescue, investigation, justice and recovery.

Our approach

Rescue. Investigate. Pursue. Advocate. Restore.

A child who has been rescued needs safety, medical care, psychosocial support, protection from further harm, family support and access to justice. Our approach follows the child beyond the rescue operation.
